11 events at the Kultursommer Festival in Vienna that you absolutely shouldn’t miss

The band with their own sound, Spitting Ibex, will be performing this Sunday at the Floridsdorfer Brücke!

Taking part in the Kultursommer festival, they will be bringing their new sounds from their new album! “Love Hate Fear Fate” sounds exactly like its name. Emotional and deep. Be prepared for a mix of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop and Rock (yep, a little bit of everything).

Feminine Street Jazz Moves and light Floorwork – this is what Conny Aitzetmueller will be teaching all of those who turn up at her class happening as part of the Kultursommer.

The dance/fitness (she literally does everything) teacher will be showing you how to get your confidence back!

Leonie Wahl will be hosting some dance classes as part of the festival, Kultursommer!

You’ll be learning how to express yourself with every part of your body on the 22nd of July.

Leonie Wahl will be guiding you through your dance journey in these classes as if you’re a toddler learning to walk (meaning, no experience necessary).

The up-and-coming Pop/Indie Singer & Songwriter, OSKA, is gracing the stage of the Kultursommer festival on the 25th of July!

With her heartfelt songs, this will hit just the right spot if you’re in that kind of mood. With her rise in popularity, this concert surely is going to be one hell of a performance. Be sure to take tissues with you to cry yourself out.

The Kultursommer festival is bringing the parties this week!

There will be an Electro-Pop & Trash night on the 23rd of July with a line-up that will keep you moving and flirting. DJs/DJanes such as Clemotone, J’aime Julien and David Jerina (and even more!) will be gracing the DJ decks at Am Kaisermühlendamm.

With a mix of queer, Electronic, and Pop-py sets some would say this party has all the right ingredients.

Kultursommer is not leaving out the chill and creative side of Vienna! The Living Room Sessions celebrating the artist collective ‘A party called Jack’ will be doing multiple sessions throughout the festival.

On the 7th of August, however, very special guests will be gracing the stage to share their art. Katrin Blantar, Aminata Seydi, and many more will be performing.

The half-Hungarian and half-South African comedian, Tamas Vamos, will participate in the Kultursommer festival fun this week.

Having quite the reputation in Vienna, Tamas is one of THE comedians to see in the local scene. With his charming and comedic self, he’ll be making all of you laugh on the 5th of August!

The band formation, Sladek, are bringing their new music to Rhiz Vienna. With smooth Soul, reinterpreted in their own way and small nuances from other genres they’re a real treat to catch live.

Creating a mix of poetry and music, the poetry slam outfit, FOMP, has an evening lined up as part of the Kultursommer festival!

On the 13th of August, FOMP will have a bunch of talented poets and Jazz musicians on stage and they’ll be jamming words and tunes together. It will make for quite the show.

the Kultursommer festival is also bringing lots of dance performances to the stage. ‘NoExcuse! – A race called life’ is an hour-long dance-theater piece that you’ll be able to watch on the 13th of August. This theater / dance piece is about questioning life and the many trivial things humans value – especially body image and stereotypes.

So if you’re into dance with meaning and a message, check this out.

The Kultursommer festival isn’t holding back on the party side. On the 14th of August, you’ll be able to attend a Techno & Techhouse bonanza with quite the line-up.

Many different collectives will be coming together, from artists like Löwenzahn to ANANAS. So, be sure you’re ready for a trip to another dimension, because those techno/tech-house DJ-sets will get you flying real quick.
